| On site testing may
be necessary for products which are too cumbersome
or expensive to transport to a test facility. Measurements
can be carried out at the manufacturers premises to
evaluate the EMC performance of the product.
The EMC Directive requires that all
equipment placed into service complies. This places
the onus on the installer to preserve the EMC of installed
systems. Environmental surveys are carried out to
ensure the EMC of new developments and that equipment
performs as intended.
As a competent body CEI can assist
manufacturers installing one off items of equipment
to comply with the local electromagnetic environment.
This is a less onerous task than complying with the
full standards necessary for free movement of equipment.
We have undertaken many successful projects of this
type world-wide.
